MISSION
To empower individuals to experience renewal and to reach their full potential spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, financially and intellectually.
The focus behind the mission is similar to the old proverb: "Give someone a fish and you feed him for a day; teach someone to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
Renewed Life was established to provide training, counseling, financial and informational resources to enable individuals to develop and sustain a better life. This organization promotes the development of skills and talent, assists with employment, rehabilitation, life skills and conflict resolution.
BACKGROUND
Founded in 2003, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Renewed Life, Inc. has already begun to help others to realize a better quality of life and to assist families and individuals with meeting current needs and setting realistic goals for the future.
We are fulfilling our mission each day as we witness individuals move beyond restricted and dependent lifestyles to an independent and flourishing life.
One of our past projects included providing emergency assistance for displaced individuals that experienced substantial losses due to the devastating hurricanes. We were able to provide 18 families impacted by the hurricanes with financial assistance (for medical, educational and basic sustenance), housing and clothing.
This year our goal is to help people obtain the knowledge that they need in order to live a prosperous life. Our major focus will be on education (teaching how to fish), yet we will continue to provide select and monitored assistance to those in need (giving a fish). We are currently working with the homeless and assisting families with special needs.
